Terms of Service

Welcome to RoLove. By using the app, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use RoLove. By creating an account, you confirm that you are 18 or older and that the information you provide is real and your own.

2. Your account

You sign in with Apple, Google or email. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for the activity carried out through it. One profile = one real person.

3. Community rules

RoLove is a respectful place. You may not:

• impersonate another person or use photos that aren't yours;
• harass, threaten, insult or discriminate against other users;
• post illegal content, sexually explicit content (whether or not everyone depicted consented), violence or hate speech;
• send spam, advertise or attempt to scam other users;
• use the app for commercial purposes without our consent.

You can report or block anyone in the app. Accounts that break these rules may be suspended or deleted without notice.

3.1 Absolute prohibitions

The following are prohibited without exception, regardless of the apparent consent of anyone involved. They lead to permanent closure of the account, preservation of evidence, and referral to the competent authorities:

• human trafficking, in any form and for any purpose, including trafficking for the purpose of sexual exploitation, forced prostitution, forced labour, slavery, servitude or organ removal — as well as the recruitment, transport, transfer, harbouring or receipt of any person for any of those purposes;
• aiding, abetting, encouraging or facilitating the abuse or exploitation of any person, even where you are not the one carrying out the act. Providing contacts, means, money, transport, accommodation, advertising, instructions or any other assistance is itself a breach of these terms;
• sexual violence — rape, sexual assault, sexual coercion and threats of any of these — as well as content that depicts, glorifies or encourages it;
• any content or conduct involving child sexual abuse or exploitation.

These prohibitions apply both inside the app and to any communication carried out through RoLove. Further detail is set out in our Acceptable Use Policy.

4. Your content

The content you post (photos, text) belongs to you. You grant us a limited licence to host and display it within the service, solely to make the app work. We may remove content that violates these terms or the law.

5. Subscriptions and purchases (RoLove+)

RoLove+ is an auto-renewing subscription available on one-month, six-month and twelve-month terms. Alongside it you can buy consumable items ("Buchet" and "Boost"), which are one-off purchases and do not renew. Current prices are shown on our Pricing page and again at checkout before you pay.

5.1. How you pay

There are two payment routes, and your rights differ depending on which you use:

• In the app (iOS and Android) — payment is taken by the App Store (Apple) or Google Play, acting as the seller. Management, cancellation and refunds go through your Apple or Google account, under their policies.
• On the website, at rolove.ro — payment is taken by card through our payment processor, Stripe. Here we are the seller, and sections 5.2–5.5 below apply to you directly.

5.2. Automatic renewal

A subscription bought on the website renews automatically at the end of each term, at the price quoted when you bought it, until you cancel. The amount and the next billing date are shown before you confirm the order and confirmed to you by email. If we change the price of an ongoing subscription we will email you at least 30 days beforehand, and the new price applies only from the next renewal; you can cancel in the meantime.

5.3. Cancellation

You can cancel at any time, from within the app or from the billing portal in your account, without contacting us and without giving a reason. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep access to RoLove+ until the end of the period you have already paid for. We charge no cancellation fee.

5.4. Right of withdrawal and refunds

As a consumer in the European Union you generally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract. For digital content supplied immediately, that right ends once performance begins with your express consent — which is why we ask for that consent at checkout.

• Subscriptions: if you have not used RoLove+ features after paying, we refund you in full on request within 14 days.
• Consumables (Buchet, Boost): these are treated as delivered once credited to your account; we refund unused items on request within 14 days.
• Technical failure: if you could not use the service because of a fault on our side, we refund in full, regardless of timing.

Refund requests go to hello@rolove.ro. We reply within 5 working days, and approved refunds are returned to the original payment method within 14 days of approval. For purchases made through the App Store or Google Play, request the refund directly from Apple or Google.

5.5. Billing and card details

Payments on the website are processed by Stripe. We never receive or store your card number. Prices include VAT where applicable, and the charge appears on your statement as ROLOVE.

6. No warranties

RoLove gives you the tools to meet people, but we do not guarantee matches, relationships or results. The service is provided “as is”, without implied warranties.

7. Dating safety

Take care of yourself. Don't send money or share sensitive data with people you've just met. Meet in public places. We do not run criminal background checks on users.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, RoLove is not liable for indirect damages arising from use of the app or from interactions with other users.

9. Termination

You can delete your account at any time in the app. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Romania.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. Continuing to use the app after changes means you accept them.
