Law Enforcement Requests

Last updated: 14 September 2026

This page explains how RoLove receives and handles requests from law enforcement and other competent authorities. It is intended primarily for judicial and criminal investigation bodies. If you are a user and want to report abuse, use the Report option in the app or see our Acceptable Use Policy.

Life-threatening emergencies. If a person is in immediate danger, call your local emergency number first (112 in the EU). Emergency requests may be sent to privacy@rolove.ro with URGENT — IMMINENT DANGER in the subject line.

1. Who to contact

The RoLove service is operated by Lupu George, as an independent operator established in France. All legal requests should be submitted electronically to privacy@rolove.ro. We do not accept service of process through the public contact form, social media, or via our users.

2. Legal basis we require

We disclose user data only on the basis of valid legal process issued by a competent authority with jurisdiction over us. Depending on the category of data requested, this may be:

Authorities outside the jurisdiction in which we are established should route requests through the applicable international judicial cooperation channels (for example, a mutual legal assistance treaty), except in the emergency cases described in section 5.

3. What the request must contain

Requests drafted in general terms, without identifying a specific account, or targeting undefined categories of users, will be refused.

4. What data we hold

RoLove collects a limited set of data, described in full in our Privacy Policy. In general we may hold: the profile data provided by the user (display name, date of birth, gender, declared intention, county of origin and current city), uploaded photos, messages exchanged with matches, technical account records, and records relating to abuse reports. We do not collect card details: payments are processed by Apple, Google or our payment processor, and we do not store card numbers.

5. Emergency disclosure requests

Where there is an imminent risk of death or serious physical harm to a person, we may voluntarily disclose the information strictly necessary to prevent that harm, without waiting for the ordinary procedure to be completed. The request must come from an official address of the authority and must describe the nature of the emergency and the person at risk.

6. Preservation requests

On a written and reasoned request from a competent authority, we may preserve existing data associated with a specified account for a reasonable period, pending valid legal process. Preservation is not disclosure: the data is simply protected from deletion.

7. Notice to users

Our policy is to notify users when their data is the subject of a legal request, so that they can exercise their rights. We will not give notice where the law or an order from a competent authority prohibits it, or where notice would endanger a person or compromise an ongoing investigation.

8. Response times

We acknowledge receipt of legal requests within 5 working days. The time needed to resolve a request depends on its complexity and the legal basis relied on. Emergency requests are prioritised.

9. Child sexual abuse and exploitation

Child sexual abuse material is removed, the accounts involved are closed, evidence is preserved, and cases are reported to the competent authorities and organisations in accordance with our child safety standards.
